Utilizing a §1031 Exchange as part of an investor's tool bag, is vital to growing money more quickly over time. This course provides an overview of the basic rules governing IRC §1031 Tax-deferred Exchanges, including a review of the statute, significant revenue rulings and procedures. In addition, this course provides an overview of more advanced issues in structuring exchanges, including, but not limited to partnership distributions in the context of an exchange, exchanging vacation homes, and compliance with FIRPTA.

Title Exams, Surveys, and Title Pitfalls

This class reviews the process of title exams and explains the issues that cloud a title and how to resolve those issues. The student will learn what to look for and how to help prevent last-minute hold-ups to closing purchase contracts.
